Can Astrology Tell You About Your Health, Romances and Prosperity

As a therapist, I realize that astrology isn't very scientific, but I have to say that I see patterns of behavior common to people of the same sign. For instance, air signs are known to have trouble making decisions due to looking at alternatives back and forth and not being able to make one choice higher than another. This has an impact on one's love life and health.

Taureans are known to have a stubborn streak which can make it hard to apologize or to admit being wrong.

In other cultures, astrology has been used as a way to counsel kings and others in royalty for major decisions of the country. There are also some stock prediction systems based on astrology. Also astrology discusses which bodily organs can be vulnerable to health issues.

Anyway, even if you are a skeptic you can check out this woman who gives a free, no cost reading without any obligation. Figure out your most important question and ask it to see if it can be helpful for you.

The Recession and Dating: There Is Still Hope

I found it really interesting to read that dating is increasing despite the recession. The New York Times reported that online dating sites had a very good last quarter in 2008. I think this shows that there is a sense that romantic connections can resolve practical concerns.

Is this an illusion? Well, sharing some of the trials of difficulties is support and helpful. Of course, there are some people that join online dating sites or date to find a pot of gold! But studies are showing that people are more interested in love itself. Love is seen as therapeutic by most people.

Also, it is certainly less expensive to look online than to do bar hopping or joining some of the offline singles groups that match you up. Online you can also get to know someone via e-mail. I think it's important to go into a lot of detail on the profile and not just make it general. Reading about how someone likes the beach, dogs and watching American Idol does not say a lot. Let someone get to know YOU.

Don't avoid dating due to the fear or spending money. Going to barnes and nobles or borders is a great first date and picking up a chai or hot chocolate is very inexpensive. It is good to be in a public place and to not give out your home address to someone you don't know.

There is a new site here that looks interesting. It is free to join so you don't have to get out the credit card: Free Online Dating Site

Health Tips for the Summer

Hey Guys,

I know it's been a while. I've been running around with work and working on saturdays. With the summer coming, I wanted to remind everyone to use sunscreen. If you are in Florida, this is a necessity! It is easy to overlook it.

Also, I find a simple way to figure out if food is healthy is to look at ingredients and to see if there are trans fatty acids. I check fat grams too and just try to find things under 7 grams or so. Of course, olive oil is good for you!

You can find some free samples here of health products and get their free newsletter at: Free Health Samples and Newsletter . There is no credit card required, membership stuff etc etc. Is it just free.

Also, if you aren't working, don't be discouraged. It can be hard on your moods but try to use this as a time to meditate and also develop new skills. There are a number of 1 year programs like massage therapy that pay well so look at your nearby training centers in your town.

If you are experiencing hardship though and are trying to get a loan, new credit card or to find a used car, sometimes they don't treat you well if your credit is bad. You can check your score for free here. I have found they make mistakes so it's good to know your credit score. You can then write the companies and get them to remove it. Also you lose points if people have checked you out a lot over last year so you can also have that removed too! That can raise you up a bit. You can get a free credit report here that shows you what others see : CLICK HERE for Free Credit Report .

My friend actually got turned down for an apartment rental because her credit score was low. But she found an error that was based on her sister's actions that shouldn't have been there. They have removed it. Remember to do slow breathing and some stretching daily okay?

Do You Know Your Moisturizer Ingredients- Are They Safe

I was saddened, though not surprised, to read that there are estrogen like related compounds in a number of moisturizers that are in the market. Due to the diligent research of Dr. Adrienne Olsen, a breast cancer survivor herself, some interesting findings have turned up.

Dr. Olsen submitted 16 moisturizers for analysis to a lab and it turns out 6 of them have estrogen-like ingredients -ie estriol or estrone! This is a bit scary but the fda doesn't need to list ingredients of moisturizers.

Earlier in 2008 Rutgers U had research that four common moisturizers promoted skin cancer in mice. Included in that study were popular brands Dermabase, Eucerin Original Moisturizing Cream, and Vanicream.

Please be careful about what you use on your skin as your skin can absorb ingredients (that is why we have nicotine patches etc). For all natural products visit Miracle 2 Soap Products .

Eczema and Allergies: Is Your Eczema Rash an Allergic Reaction

There's been news recently by the Center for Disease Control that allergic reactions from foods and the environment are rising and this results in digestive and skin rash reactions. I have seen a number of clients with eczema rash symptoms this year. One told me he gets them from food dyes in certain foods such as m and m candies.

Another person was able to trace his eczema rash back to some products she used which she believed were Bounce, Glade Plug-Ins and Febreeze. She even noticed that people she saw in supermarket with strong fragrance and cover up products such as these simultaneously had benadryl and anti-allergy antidotes in their carts! It doesn't make sense to buy both what creates a reaction and relieves it.

You can try on your own to watch what you eat, remove products with potential allergens and take supplemental omega 3 and 6 oils, moisturize twice a day and be careful about the products you use on your body in the environment. This can give you a natural remedy for eczema and protect your skin from further vulnerability. You can also get allergy testing done to determine what factors in the environment may be at play for your red patches and bump symptoms.

Be conscious if they are doing construction at work , school or your home as various chemicals may be released into the environment. My friend found that she had a bad eczema flare up reaction at work during this period and it may have been from formaldehyde. Try and figure out the triggers and avoid them. Is Choosing Health Insurance A Low Priority: Should It Be

Unfortunately, with the economy health insurance may seem to be not as important as other factors. And in fact, needing a doctor's visit isn't something that comes up daily like getting food, gas and regular expenses. But the problem is, it comes up when you least expect it.

David Schwegman recently saw a patient with mild kidney problem. It turned out that due to not having follow ups, it elevated his blood pressure and produced a tear in his aorta, a condition that could result in permanent kidney failure and even death. He cautioned people that because you feel good, doesn't mean that there may not be underlying issues. For instance, both high blood pressure and diabetes may not show any symptoms. Colon cancer is also known as the silent killer. Preventative care is important so don't just think of health insurance as something you don't need. Fortunately there are different types and levels of coverage. Please, get yourself something just to have some coverage in case Murphy's Law strikes. It doesn't hurt to get a free insurance quote. Look at what is covered and figure out what works for your budget as companies are dropping prices due to competition.

Preventative Health: Healthy Eating Tips

Have you taken an honest look at your current diet? Would you consider yourself a healthy eater or someone who eats on the run without analyzing? This is an important issue to address. In the US there is so much obesity but even among people at normal weight, the food choices are not always the best. The thing is fatty foods do taste good. But the problem is we get used to having tons of melted cheese on veggies and then we can't eat them at all without cheese! Even salads people add tons of calories to by adding so many croutons as well as fatty dressings. We get so used to fatty foods and sugar that we can't appreciate foods that are more subtle.

The thing is that you don't have to just eat plain brown rice and kale to eat well. You can still eat foods and give them taste. For instance, for Thanksgiving I made a soup that everyone loved. It had butternut squash, apple, onion and chicken broth. I also added curry powder. It was low fat and very tasty. It didn't need melted cheese. (By the way if you really have to melt cheese you can get no fat or low fat cheeses).

Another tasty food that you can have is to make oatmeal in morning but add in toasted almonds, raisins and pieces of apple. This tastes very good and the raisins supply sweetness. You don't need an omlette every morning of 2 eggs and tons of cheese in it.

I saw a therapy client last week who's 14 year old son is going to the hospital for surgery due to gallstones. He lives on high fat she said and actually gets sick if he eats veggies. This is just one danger of a poor diet. Eating well will cut back on your doctor's visits. Remember though you can get a plan with low payments and a high deductible but please get something. She luckily has insurance for her son through his dad, but since she's divorced, she has no insurance for herself. This was a good reminder for her though to get some as the stress in her life is high and her mom had a stroke 5 years older than her current age. You can get a Free Quote for Health Insurance
